Ashling's Prerogative rulings:
2007-10-01: The "chosen value" is either "odd" or "even." So either creatures with odd mana values enter tapped and creatures with even mana values have haste, or vice versa.
2007-10-01: If a creature has X in its mana cost, that X is treated as 0 for the purposes of these effects. It doesn't matter what the value of X was while the creature was on the stack.

Creature — Eldrazi (8/6)
Whenever you attack, choose odd or even. Creatures with mana value of that quality can't block this turn. (Zero is even.)
Each other colorless creature you control has bloodthirst 2. (If an opponent was dealt damage this turn, that creature enters with two additional +1/+1 counters on it.)
Sorcery
Choose odd or even. Exile each creature with mana value of the chosen quality. (Zero is even.)
Legendary Enchantment
When Kellan Joins Up enters, you may exile a nonland card with mana value 3 or less from your hand. If you do, it becomes plotted. (You may cast it as a sorcery on a later turn without paying its mana cost.)
Whenever a legendary creature you control enters, put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control.

As Lavabrink Venturer enters, choose odd or even. (Zero is even.)
Lavabrink Venturer has protection from each mana value of the chosen quality.

When Balduvian Atrocity enters, if it was kicked, return target creature card with mana value 3 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield. It gains haste. Sacrifice it at the beginning of the next end step.

When a creature with mana value 6 or greater enters, you may return Dragon Breath from your graveyard to the battlefield attached to that creature.
