Put one onto the battlefield face down as a 2/2 creature and the other into your graveyard. Turn it face up any time for its mana cost if it's a creature card.)

As long as there are three or more cards exiled with Veteran Survivor, it gets +3/+3 and has hexproof. (It can't be the target of spells or abilities your opponents control.)

Survival — At the beginning of your second main phase, if Kona, Rescue Beastie is tapped, you may put a permanent card from your hand onto the battlefield.

At the beginning of your second main phase, if a player was dealt combat damage by a Zombie this turn, mill three cards, then you may return a creature card from your graveyard to your hand.
